Senior Adult Ministry

Our active and enthusiastic Senior Adults are led by our beloved Pastor Emeritus, Bernard Weaver. Involved in this lively ministry is the facilitation of community with these fantastic dedicated Followers of Jesus who most have ministered through our church in excess of half a century.

Rev. Weaver maintains contact with each person on a regular basis and addition to this regular contact, Bernard also visits in times of crisis or hospitalization. His pastoral reports on Wednesday evenings at 6:45pm during our Wednesday Worship and Bible Study is a time when we are all led to lift our loved ones up to the Lord. One of the creative aspects of his ministry is the daily devotional, church news and prayer needs report he records which can be accessed at 404.799.1213.

Many of our Senior Adults look forward each week to our church family meal on Wednesdays at 6:00pm in our beautiful fellowship hall. This is a time when the whole church is able to “catch up” with each other. So whether it is caring for each other, going on trips together or praying for each other and their church, these wonderful people have been and continue to be a blessing to our church and to God’s Kingdom.
