Missions Ministry

FBCC is a mission engaged church. Many of our ladies are active in the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and our mission is to spread the love of God both near and far. We support the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, which is for foreign missions and we support the Annie Armstrong Offering, which is dedicated to missionaries in North America and their needs.

Our two favorite projects are Franklin Graham’s “Operation Christmas Child” and our Christmas angel project in which we help put gifts under the tree for needy families.

We support the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and the Moncrief Center in Atlanta. We pray for our missionaries and for each other…and are ever mindful of our shut-ins and minister to them in whatever ways we can.

With the calling of our new pastor, Dr. Jim Haskell, we are excited about participating in some of the mission projects he has a passion for and has participated in. While he has been to China, Japan, Venezuela and Singapore on mission trips he also has a heart for the cities of America and is involved in Ministry in New York City and is leading us to participate with the Atlanta Metro Baptist Association’s Urban Atlanta Impact Initiative (UAII) which has as its goal to reseed the area inside Atlanta’s perimeter with new churches and to help renew existing churches.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to participate in any of our mission opportunities, please contact Ruanne Clay or Pam Brown at missions {at} fbcchat(.)com.
